On the left bank of the historic old Delaware River and three miles south of the celebrated "Delaware Water Gap", situated on a plateau about forty feet above the level of the river, is the quaint old village of Columbia, once the pride and glory of so much of this valley as lies between the Blue and Manunka Chunk Mountains. This village at present does not manifest the enterprise of years gone by.
